June 2015 Income Report | MayaElious.com
Hey, there! If this is your first time stumbling across my income reports, please start with January 2015 to see why I’m doing this and how I plan to break each month down.

Each month I would like to share:

Please let me know if there’s anything you want me to include in the income reports. If it’s a general question about my finances, I’ll be happy to write a blog post on it.

Green = Higher Than Previous Month
Black = Stayed the Same as Previous Month

What I learned:

Dear, God. These income reports never get easier to make. I didn’t realize I broke $6,000 this month until I did the report. Wooh! It’s been such a great month honestly.  I went to Los Angeles for the first time to go to the 2015 BET Awards. You can see some pics here.

So this month was the first month I made just as much money in coaching as I did in design. VICTORY! Honestly this makes me feel so good because I’m working really hard to transition into coaching full time and leave the whole design game.  I’ve designed professionally for 7 years now, and I am over it. I am still passionate about design, but I’m not passionate about offering it as a service. It’s more of a headache than it is pleasurable. My next goal is to teach design rather than offering it as a service. I also moved to Atlanta this month so there’s been a lot of things going on.

I made more money this month because:

Having a best business friend that is just as genius as you are IS AMAZING. It’s not a lie when they say your network is your net worth. We relate so well and talk about money making ideas all day. Please find someone who has extremely similar goals as you. It will cause you to stretch outside of your comfort zone.

[Tweet “Your network is your net worth.”]

Oh yeah, I’m so glad that I pitched. I was accepted to be a speaker at a 2015 Bloggers Conference in September. I can’t say the name of the conference yet, but I can’t WAIT to share more! I’m really excited to boost my speaking career.

Something else that happened this month, I found another blogger who copied my site practically word for word. It was SO weird. I stumbled across her page and started reading and I was like “wow, this sounds really familiar. Sounds EXACTLY like something I would say.” As pissed off as I was, it was kind of cool being able to easily recognize that someone copied me. This means I’ve fully established my voice, and it’s easy to identify.  This is such a huge deal with brand messaging. So thank you, copy cat, for bringing me to that realization.

I’m not gonna lie, I wanted to out her, but her following is about 1% of mine so it would’ve done her more good than me.

Things I need to improve on:

Things I did well:

Hours worked:

I’m still horrible at tracking hours. Much more flexible this month, though. Don’t count on hours for July’s Income Report because it’s July 20 today, and I haven’t tracked. But MAYBE for August.

YTD Earnings:$37,762.45

What have you been working on in your business lately? I want you to set a monetary goal that scares you and aim for it! What’s your number? $1,000? $2,000? $5,000?
